Join the Happy Birthday Club!  For children turning 1- 4 years old

Bring your child into the Macomb County Library during the month of his or her birthday, show your library card (or apply for a library card if you do not have one) and receive a free book for your child!

Summer Story Time
Wednesdays, July 9, 16 and 23
10:00 a.m.

Songs, movement and stories for ages 5 and under with caregiver.  Registration begins June 2nd.  Call 586-286-6660 for reservations.

Catch the Reading Bug
2008 Summer Reading Program

You can pick up your reading logs at the library starting Tuesday, June 17.  The summer reading program ends on July 29.  Every time you turn in a completed reading log, you win a prize!

You can register throughout the program and complete as many reading logs as you like.  The program ends on July 29.  The last completed reading log must be turned in by July 29, 2008 at 8:00 p.m. in order to receive a prize!  Readers and Read-To-Me's ages birth through 12 years old can participate.

    Creepy Crawlers
    July 8 at 2 p.m.

Dan Briere brings hissing cockroaches, giant centipedes and more!  Recommended for ages 5 - 12.  (45 minute program)

    Going Buggy
    July 15 at 2 p.m.

Meet those 6-legged creepy-crawlies up close and personal with Doug Spiller from Stony Creek Nature Center.  Recommended for ages 5 - 12.  (1 hour program)

    What's the Buzz on Bees
    July 22 at 2 p.m.

Learn about bees and make a craft!  Recommended for ages 5 - 12.  (45 minute program)
