Teen Scene
Volunteens -Join the
MacDonald Public Library Teen Advisory Board (TAB) or
the Adopt-a-Shelf Program
TAB
members take a leadership and participatory role in the
planning of events, programs & services for teens at the
library.
Teen TAB
will meet on the
following Monday evenings from 7:00 - 8:00 pm at the
library:

Teens can
contribute volunteer hours and help out by working on
special projects like the adopt - a -shelf program
starting in December, or helping to
organize magazines, DVD's and more.
The library truly
appreciated their services to the library and welcomes

Heart to Heart
Teen Tea - Saturday, February 6th from 11:00 am -1:00 pm
Teens will be baking goodies to share and bringing
recipes too! If you'd like to join the fun just bring
your favorite baked goodie and the recipe to share.
Teens will enjoy tea, baked goods, and favorite games
like Apples to Apples and Pictionary!
Green Teen Day
- Tuesday, March 9, 2010 from 4:00 - 5:30 pm
Learn how to become an eco-friendly member of the green
generation, and learn about some cool green beauty tips,
& how to take simple steps to a healthier life and
greener planet.
Chapter Chat
Book Club for Teens will be meeting on the following
dates from 7:00 to 8:00 pm - Interested teens should
bring a book recommendation to chat-up with other teens.

program for students in 3rd through 5th grade from 4:30

Sit
' N Knit
Thinking about
making special holiday projects for family and friends
this holiday season? The Sit 'N Knit group meet
every Monday morning from 10:00 to 12:00 am in the
community room. This is a bring your own project group
where new members are always welcome!
Computer Classes at MPL
The
Library will be offering free 90 minute computer classes
tentatively scheduled on selected Monday and Thursdays
beginning in February of 2010,
if our current construction project is on schedule.
Registration
is not required for computer classes. All classes will
be drop-in, seating will be on a first come first serve
basis with classroom doors opening to the public 10
minutes prior to the start of each class. Once the class
begins, there will be no admittance so be sure to arrive
in plenty of time!

Create a free web based email account and learn how
to create, send, attach, and receive email and much
more! Pre- requisite: must possess basic mouse and
keyboard, and Internet knowledge.

Learn how to create a resume using Word 2007. Make
sure your bring your resume with you and/or past/present
employment data. After completion, you can save it and
send it to your email account or bring a jump drive with
you. Pre-requisite:
WORD Class or basic WORD knowledge, keyboarding/mouse
basics.
Introduction
to the Internet for Job Seekers
3:30 - 5:00 pm
Learn about available online job resources and job
search engines you can use in your employment search.
Pre-requisite: Must be comfortable with mouse, keyboard
and surfing the web.
