In recent years, the word anime has been popping up more often, but most people wonder, “What is it?” According to Dictionary.com, it is defined as “a style of animation developed in Japan, characterized by stylized colorful art.” Anime has become very popular among children and teens (and even some adults!) within the last few years for its action-packed storylines, vivid art, and unique characters.

As the interest in anime continues to grow, many people have tried to make their own anime comic books (called manga) with original characters and storylines. It is because of this particular curiosity that the Lois Wagner Memorial Library is presenting “Anime Kaisho,” an art club for aspiring anime artists (Grades 8-12)!  If you are interesting in joining, please e-mail Deb or contact the Lois Wagner Memorial Library to sign up!
