Placing Holds

To access your account or the Library Catalog, go to http://books.lwmlibrary.org

When placing holds, renewing items, or reviewing your account, always start by logging into your account in the top, right corner of the page. Enter your entire library card number and your PIN number. If you do not know your PIN, please call The Lois Wagner Memorial Library at 586-727-2665

Once logged in, you can begin your search. You can search by words (keywords), authors, titles, subjects, or series. After typing in your search word(s), make sure you change the drop-down menu to the appropriate search. In this example, we are looking for material on the subject "Gardening." After typing in "Gardening" into the search box, change the drop-down menu to "subject" and then click the "search" button to the right.

After performing your search, you will be presented with a list of items that match your search terms. Next to each item are three buttons: "Details" "Keep" and "Place Hold" If you want more information about the item, you can click on the "Details" button. You can, however, place the item on hold right from this screen by clicking on "Place Hold"
