2007 In Review |
The Bancroft Stranahan Museum was painted this year and it looks wonderful. The 2nd Annual Victorian Festival was a fun filled day that included a civil war encampment in the park, a barber shop quartet and a calliope. We had increase participation in the Flea-n-tique Fund Raiser in June. Our 1st Fall Harvest Antique Show was very successful and enjoyed by all! The Christmas Home Tour showcased the Hudson Inn B&B, 198 W. St. Clair, The Hempsted's, 128 Church St., The Carlson's, 308 N. Bailey, The Duggan's 354 N. Bailey and The Wilson's 372 N. Bailey (which was also the 2007 Christmas Ornament). This year we have established a Research Room, started the State Police Post Museum and other programs. Doug Pritchard did an outstanding job with the landscaping and maintenance on the museums this year.
Museum Notes and Highlights Museum Displays Richard Beringer has put together a wonderful display of "Romeo on Wheels" at the Romeo Arts & Archives Center. We are open Tuesday nights from 7-8pm or by appointment. Tours of the Bancroft Stranahan Museum and the Blacksmith Shop are only by appointment. Please call 586-752-4111. |
