  What is T.A.B?

A Teen Advisory Board (T.A.B.) is made up of teens who assist and support Teen Services at the library.  Members plan and promote exciting programs, participate in special community service projects, suggest new library materials, and discuss books, movies, music and websites!  Involvement in T.A.B. looks great on resumes and college applications.  Refreshments served at every meeting.  Attend a meeting and make your voice heard at your library!

WHAT TYPES OF PROGRAMS DOES T.A.B. PLAN?

T.A.B. plans and sponsors events such as:
Whose Book is it Anyway?

what UPCOMING EVENTS WILL T.A.B. be sponsoring?

New events will be discussed at the next meeting.

  Who can join?

T.A.B. meetings are open to teens grades 6 through 12.

  When will T.A.B. meet?

Teens at the meetings will help choose a time and day for future meetings, which are usually held on the third Saturday of each month at 2:00 PM September through May.

How much time will it involve?

T.A.B. will involve one hour a month for a meeting and any time you choose to devote to reviews, program committees, or other T.A.B. activities.

  What will we discuss?

Teens will learn about other T.A.B. groups across the country and brainstorm ideas about how to make our library more  teen-friendly.  Possible activities may be to share reviews of library materials, plan and organize teen programs, develop a newsletter for teens, and/or spearhead other efforts to promote teen use of library resources.
