The
Civic Center Branch Library participates in the Federal
Depository Library Program. If you are looking for
documents published by the US Government, you can obtain them here.
Through the award of a Federal Library Services
and Technology Act (LSTA) grant administered by the Library
of Michigan, the Civic Center Branch is home to a collection of adaptive
devices for patrons with low vision and other sight concerns.
Equipment includes a color video magnification device, hand held
text-to-speech pens and a
text-to-speech scanner/reader. These devices are useful for people
who are newly literate, are learning English as a second language, or for
those who may have learning disabilities and need extra help with specific
words or phrases.
The Judge Don Binkowski Michigan
