The Friends of the Warren Public Library started
1970 as Citizens for Library Action, and their purpose was public participation
in libraries. In 1972, the group was incorporated as the Friends of the Warren
Public Library. Their first book sale, the primary fund-raiser for the group,
was held in October 1972.
